We searched doggedly to find the steel mug we ourselves would want to clutch around a campfire, sip whisky from on a porch or throw into our packs (despite the extra ounces). Our quest eventually led us to a WWII-era manufacturer of enamelware in Poland that created these: Sets of sturdy enamel mugs in ever-classy Alpinist white and branded on one side with our logo. The handle and rim are double-dipped for added durability. On the back side is a handful of our favorite spine copy from Alpinist issues past for you to ponder. Just keep your eye on these mugs, they have a habit of winding up in friends' packs. Purely by accident, we're sure.

*Disclaimer: One word on these first-run mugs is misspelled ("penubra" should be penumbra). We're ordering more in the New Year with the typo corrected. Despite the missing "M," these mugs will still hold your coffee! If you'd like to order a set "as-is," we'll throw in a little something extra as a "Thank You."
If you have already ordered a set, we're happy to foot the shipping bill if you'd like to exchange your typo-ed mugs for clean ones. Just send them to:
